According to the publication, the Bay Conservation and Development Commission voted last week to approve the development of the last remaining vacant property in Redwood Shores.

The project, to be completed by developer Max Keech, includes 158 new town homes and an elementary school.

What does this mean for the market? Plain and simple… more good news for buyers!

Adding 158 new homes will take more pressure off the housing market, especially for first time buyers looking to find options at lower price points. Even current renters, who were previously priced out of the bidding wars of recent years, now have hope for acquiring their own homes and condominiums.

The best news is that the development could be completed in approximately one year, early enough to allow the homes to hit the market before it beings to accelerate again.

So, if you’re not looking yet, get started! It’s time to get yourself ready to make an informed decision to enter the market or trade up — sign up for a automated search today.
