San Carlos School District Seeing Attendance Rise 4% – Number Expected to Grow

There have been lots of stories lately on newly released San Mateo County statistics and here’s another one. The Redwood City Daily News reported this week that the San Carlos School District is seeing a rise in attendance by about 4%.

Why is this significant? Well as the article points out, this is just another example of what we have been saying here:

Better performing schools = Higher demand for real estate by young families –> Higher home values

The article discusses the increase in attendance is especially felt at Arundel and White Oaks Elementary schools. (Both of these schools are rated 10 out of 10 on GreatSchools.net) Neighborhoods like these will power through the down market and should be where you concentrate your home search

Remember, if you want to maximize your home’s resale value, shop for it in a neighborhood with great schools.
