You may have seen that Hilldale School in Daly City was recently named the “Best K-9 Private School in San Mateo County” from KRON 4’s Best of the Bay” and if you’ve ever taken a look at GreatSchools.net’s profile of Hilldale, you know it comes as no surprise. Although private schools do not directly affect property values, it is a realistic alternative to people who wish to live in affordable areas and want the best education for their children.
Well performing public schools are a fantastic addition to a property’s appeal. Many families want to buy homes in areas with good schools and whether or not you have a child, buying a home in one of these areas boosts your property’s appreciation.
Second, Daly City has historically been one of the more affordable areas in San Mateo County. Adding Hilldale’s recognition and young families, and especially San Mateo County first time home buyers, should take a second look at Daly City, San Bruno, Colma and South San Francisco to see if it meets their needs.
Congratulations to Hilldale School’s teachers, administration and parents on a job well done!
