In case you haven’t already discovered it on your own, we have a really great library system in San Mateo County. You can find just about anything there, from recently published books to new TV shows just released on DVD. To save time, I like to go online to PLSInfo, search for something and have it sent to the library near my house.

Not only does the San Mateo County library have a great deal of books, CD’s and DVD’s to check out, they also have a wealth of information for San Mateo County residents online. One great guide I wanted to share was the Community Information Handbook 2009. In this comprehensive 78 page guide, you will find all of the contact information for San Mateo County’s Human Services Agencies such as:

There you will find the Agency’s contact information, service hours, contact person, description of service, transportation information, associated fees and who is eligible to name a few.
