Thank You Veterans and Active Military Service Members for Your Service

Waving American flag

Did you know that Veterans Day was originally Armistice Day? President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed November 11, 1919 as Armistice Day and it became a legal holiday in 1938. Years later in 1954 Congress changed the holiday name from Armistice to Veterans Day to honor all veterans not just those who had served in World War I.

Thank You to All Veterans and Active Military Service Members For Your Service!

I know, I must be showing my age but back in the 1960′s when I was a young child I actually heard people still refer to it as Armistice Day. Most people now only know it as Veterans Day. And for many, it is just another reason for retailers to have a sale. Let us not forget that today is a day to honor and thank all Veterans for their service. I also believe today is a great opportunity to also thank our current active duty military personnel. So to all Veterans and current active duty military personel from all of us here at Living Well in San Mateo and The RayChel Realty Group, Thank You For Your Service!
