Belmont Country Club

Belmont Country Club

Belmont Country Club is captivating in a funky sort of way.  Its varied terrain ranging flat to steep cliffs on either side of Alameda de las Pulgas, north of Ralston is it’s distinguishing feature.  This is the Belmont most people think of when Belmont is visualized, a mix of 1902s and 1930s bungalows and post WWII ranchers on the hillside.  But, it’s not all hillside.

Belmont County Club was Once Just That…A Country Club

Older homes built on the flat lands that once occupied in the Belle Monti County Club and the Hillscrest Gold Course are surprisingly traditional by Belmont standards.  Remnants of the Country Club remain, the original club house is now a Congregational Church on Alameda de las Pulgas.

For those who desire Belmont, and want a more traditional neighborhood with curbs and sidewalks – and walking distance to shopping – lower Belmont Country Club may be just the ticket.  For others, with non-traditional tastes, the hillside Country Club homes provide an architectural inconsistency that is off beat and compelling, often with spectacular views.
