Fiesta Gardens

Fiesta Gardens Park San Mateo

Fiesta Gardens is a unique San Mateo pocket neighborhood, out of the cross town traffic pattern. Most noteworthy features are its International School, a two-way Spanish/English language dual immersion public elementary magnet school, and it’s active and proud neighborhood association.  Rated a 4 out of a possible 10 by GreatSchools.net, the International School gets a 5 of 5 Parent Rating.

What Type of Neighborhood is Fiesta Gardens?

Visually Fiesta Gardens landscaping is not as mature as some older San Mateo neighborhoods like Sunnybrae with fewer trees and wider streets, but with better recreational facilities – park and ball fields.  Neat, clean and well maintained, Fiesta Gardens is clearly a family oriented neighborhood.

Fiesta Gardens’ Homes Have an HOA

Usually we see Homeowner’s Associations (HOAs) in condominium and townhome complexes, but Fiesta Gardens is one of the few single family home neighborhoods that have one, which we think is a plus. For very little money (around $300/year), Fiesta Gardens’ home owners enjoy a pool, recreational ball fields, parks, well maintained homes and streets and a community type atmosphere.

How Walkable is Fiesta Gardens?

Fiesta Gardens’ is a bit out of the way of your downtown amenities, so walkability of the neighborhood to restaurants and shopping suffers a bit. If you would prefer a more walkable neighborhood, we’d suggest Hayward Park.
