What’s San Mateo Park Like?
On generally larger lots, there is an abundance of classic architecture from Revival styles of ‘20s and ‘30s – Tudor, Spanish and Colonial – even a gaggle of impressive Craftsman homes built around 1900. The oldest area, and also the most formal part, lies closest to El Camino Real. Moving up the hill west bound, San Mateo Park changes a bit, but without a decline in ambiance.

San Mateo Park Takes First Prize Among San Mateo Neighborhoods
Ranch homes and bungalows built later in the century with smaller lots on curved, quiet streets with islands of tress replace the classic styles nearer downtown. The homes built on irregularly shaped lots and winding streets however are anything but “cookie cutter”. When style and grace are measured, San Mateo Park takes first prize.

San Mateo Park is located halfway between Downtown Burlingame and Downtown San Mateo. Though not conveniently walkable to either Downtown, it is a quick drive.
